In November of 1999, then Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge signed
into law Act 45 of
1999. Act 45 established a statewide building to
be administered by all municipalities within the Commonwealth.
Administration of a building code includes a thorough review and
approval of all construction documents prior to the issuance of a
permit. and periodic inspections throughout the construction process
to determine compliance.
Professional Code Services, a professional organization, has been
established to serve as a Third Party Agency specializing in
professional plan review and inspection services to municipalities
optioning for the use of a Third Party Agency to administer Act 45. PCS
provides state certified personnel to perform all required plan
review services and inspections in the field of Building,
Mechanical, Plumbing, Accessibility and Energy.
PCS is comprised of individuals
dedicated to being the most knowledgeable professionals in the
building code field. The PCS team
proudly demonstrates no less than 21 years of cumulative municipal
code enforcement.
